This wonderful talk is by Dr. Brené Brown, a researcher professor at the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work. It’s entertaining (you won’t be bored!) and touches on some profound truths. Very worth watching!

  1. Huh. This is a good talk. However I am vulnerable and feel loved and am utterly horrified by myself and how I look. I often get through the day pretending I am someone else – basically a better me. Huh. Lots of the talk did resonate with me though, so good one Brene.

  2. What a great talk. Sign of a great speaker when you feel like they’re talking just to you. I had seen it before, and hadn’t realised its resonance with what you talk about in the normal eating book. She’s right, if we all didn’t feel this need to appear perfect, hide away our imperfections, and just be, the world would be a happier place!
